Real estate has never been about houses.
It’s about people — and the important life transitions that come with a move. I’m Peg Dilworth-Hunt, a Clarkston & Lake Orion REALTOR® who brings strategy and empathy to every step, especially for homeowners selling a place they’ve loved for years.
Strategic. Proven. Personal.
Why I do real estate
Before becoming a REALTOR®, I spent more than two decades in the corporate world — leading teams, solving complex problems, and helping organizations navigate change. Along the way, I relocated several times myself, experiencing firsthand the excitement, uncertainty, and stress that can accompany a major move. Those experiences taught me that a successful move isn’t just about finding the right house or getting the highest price — it’s about having the right guide along the way.
What I enjoy most is helping people move forward with confidence. Whether it’s a first-time buyer, a growing family, someone relocating across the country, or a senior downsizing after many years in the same home, every client has a unique story, set of goals, and concerns. Taking the time to listen, understand what matters most, and build a strategy around those priorities is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I bring both strategy and empathy to the process — my corporate background to analyze, negotiate, and manage the details; and the patience and clear communication that being a wife, mother, and autism mom have taught me.
My goal has never been to be the highest-volume agent. Instead, I strive to provide a highly personalized experience that helps clients feel informed, supported, and confident — from our first conversation through closing day and beyond.
Strategic. Proven. Personal. It’s more than a tagline — it’s how I approach every client relationship.
A track record you can trust.
Getting to know Peg.
What areas do you serve?
I specialize in Clarkston and Lake Orion, and I work throughout northern Oakland County — including Independence Township, Orion Township, Oxford, Waterford, Rochester, Davisburg, White Lake, and the surrounding lakeside communities. If you’re not sure whether your town is in my area, just ask — there’s a good chance I know it well.
Do you work with both buyers and sellers?
Yes. I work with both, and I especially love helping homeowners sell a place they’ve lived in for years — often while buying their next one at the same time. Many of my clients I represent on both sides of the move, so the whole transition is coordinated and far less stressful.
What’s your specialty?
Helping people through the life transitions that come with a move — particularly mature homeowners who are downsizing, selling one of several homes, or relocating to be closer to family. My sweet spot is the $500K+ market across Clarkston, Lake Orion, and Oakland County, where strategic pricing and strong marketing make a real difference.
How long have you been a REALTOR®?
I’ve been licensed for more than a decade, and I came to real estate after over twenty years in the corporate world leading teams and managing complex projects. That background shapes how I price, negotiate, and manage the many moving parts of a transaction.
What makes you different from other agents?
Two things: strategy and empathy. My corporate experience means I treat your sale like a project — data-driven pricing, sharp negotiation, and attention to every detail. But having relocated several times myself, I also understand the emotional side of a move. My goal has never been to be the highest-volume agent; it’s to give each client a highly personal experience where they feel informed and supported from the first conversation through closing and beyond.
Are you part of a team, or will I work with you directly?
I’m a solo agent, by choice — when you hire me, you get me. You won’t be handed off to an assistant. I’m backed by the full resources of Coldwell Banker Professionals, but the person who prices your home, markets it, negotiates for you, and answers your calls is me.
How do you keep clients informed?
Responsively and clearly — it’s one of the things clients mention most. I keep you in the loop at every step, return calls, texts, and emails promptly, and make sure you always understand what’s happening and what comes next.
Let’s talk about your next move.
Whether you’re thinking of selling, buying, or just exploring your options across Oakland County — I’d love to help.
